Life's a beach .......

There is something so calming about being at the beach. We are lucky enough to live 5 minutes away and popped there this afternoon (with winter coats I may add - was a little chilly!!) as The Munchkin wanted to go and find some stalactites. (bit obsessed with them after I found one, then her Uncle gave her a couple and found lots for her) I always feel like I'm taking an overwhelming relaxing breath As i walk towards the beach; I can hear the distant rumble and crash of the waves, like a giant snoring. Even though it was bitterly cold, we spent a happy hour on the sand trying to locate the allusive stalactites (one was located in the end) and all was well. It got me thinking that the beach is quite a good metaphor for life. Waves crashing and groaning away in the distance which you could let over come and wash over you but you don't; you stay on the calm shore and get on with finding your stalactites. The groan and crash of the waves has to be there but as long as they are kept at bay then all is well. Jemma xxx
